Predictably, the release of Coldplay's recent LP Mylo Xyloto has been surrounded by a seemingly endless barrage of hype and promotion. This weekend, the sensitive Brits stopped by 30 Rock to perform a pair of album cuts on Saturday Night Live.
Playing on an artfully graffitied stage, the band first treated fans to a rendition of the single "Paradise" that sounded damn-near identical to the album cut. As you can hear below, its orchestral backing and booming group vocals are suspiciously lush considering that there are only four people on stage.
Later in the night, Chris Martin showed off his nifty pink shirt and absurd dance moves during a slick and energetic performance of "Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall." Seriously Chris, you're going to have to explain what you were thinking with the dancing.
