Close Talker Return with "Half Past Nine"

It marks the Saskatoon band's first material since 2017's 'Lens"

Close Talker haven't released an album since 2017's Lens, but the Saskatoon band are coming back into our lives with a new single. The song is called "Half Past Nine," and you can check it out now.

In a statement, Close Talker said the following of their new track:

"Half Past Nine" is about a moment we all shared at a local music festival, surrounded by friends, all watching our pal, on stage singing his heart out. It's rare to recognize true significance without the help of hindsight, but this particular moment was special and we all knew it right then and there. In short, this song is about trying to hang on to those times, or simply enjoy them while they last, knowing that they're fleeting. Be thankful for one another, enjoy one another, life is short.

In addition to the new song, Close Talker will be playing a few U.S. shows, including some SXSW gigs. So far, though, there is no word on a new full-length album.
