Vancouver expat and current Berlin resident Jeremy Shaw has been causing quite the stir with the shimmery, minimalist electro pop of his latest record as Circlesquare, Songs About Dancing and Drugs. To celebrate, his record label, !K7, has announced a little remix competition.
The rules are pretty straightforward. The label wants you to submit your best remix of Drugs opener "Hey You Guys." Simply grab the stems for the track here and compose your interpretation of the track. Submit it to the same site by November 2 and face the scrutiny of both Shaw and !K7.
If your track is selected, you will join the ranks of the Juan Maclean, Konrad Black, Lowfish, Mickey Moonlight, Matias Aguayo, Russ Chimes and Anoraak on Circlesquare's forthcoming Hey You Guys Remix EP, being released via Beatport.
To check out the original version of "Hey You Guys," it's currently streaming on Circlesquare's MySpace.
