Now that Sonic Youth may or may not be on hiatus or even possibly finished, drummer Steve Shelley has been busy with his Vampire Blues imprint. On July 31, he'll release a new album from Magik Markers side-project Spectre Folk. In addition, he's also announced plans to release a new record from songwriter Chris Lee.
Called Bury the Kings, the album marks the first album in eight years from Lee. The record was produced by Shelley, who also plays drums on the album. The whole thing was recorded and mixed by Ted Young at Sonic Youth's Echo Canyon West studio in Hoboken, NJ.
