CBC Radio 3 is officially no longer available on SiriusXM satellite radio.
As of October 1, programming changes mean that the channel (162) is no longer being carried, as well as CBC Country (channel 171), ICI Musique Franco-Country (channel 166) and ICI Musique Chansons (channel 163).
Toronto indie label Telephone Explosion pointed out the change on Twitter, writing that this would have "a massive affect [sic] on independent music in this country."

The station was launched on Sirius in December 2005, following the CRTC's approval of satellite radio that summer. In 2009, CBC Radio 3 started playing 100 percent Canadian content.
Since then, the station has been a vital source of exposure for Canadian artists — and most importantly, revenue via digital performance royalties. In an article published by Canadian Musician earlier this year, entertainment lawyer Dani Oliva said that some of his independent musician clients make upwards of $10,000 CAD per month through digital performance royalties.
