Cayle Charlton, lead vocalist of Vancouver metal quintet Param-Nesia, has died. He was 36.

The musician passed away suddenly on July 17. No cause of death has been given. Charlton had just performed with the band at Armstrong MetalFest (AMF) in the Okanagan Valley over the weekend.

As Lisa Christiansen alerted Exclaim!, Param-Nesia announced the news on social media, writing, "It is extremely tough to come up with any words to describe how we are feeling." They remembered Charlton as a "beautiful person" and "brother and good friend to countless people in the local metal music community."

Charlton is survived by two children, Atticus and Devilyn, as well as his mother, Melody, who has requested the band put on celebration of life concerts in both Vancouver and Calgary. Additionally, the metallers have launched a GoFundMe campaign with the goal of raising $50,000 for his family.
