Aside from his work with the Horrors, Faris Badwan spends time as one half of Cat's Eyes, a project he shares with Canadian soprano Rachel Zeffira. The pair have had their names attached to the soundtrack for British director Peter Strickland's new film, The Duke of Burgundy, for quite some time. Now, we can finally hear the fruits of their labour in full.
The 19-track effort sees the group maintaining their reputation for high quality, vintage pop structures and classical instrumentation. In fact, despite the fact that The Duke of Burgundy is a critically acclaimed, film festival favourite, this soundtrack works just as well as a standalone LP.
