San Francisco's Carlos has been perfecting their rock hooks for almost ten years now and their fourth CD finds their riffs getting even sweeter. Being the first album with ex-Alice Donut guitarist, Richard Marshall, in the fold, Devil's Slide manages to deliver intoxicating melodies while still kicking out that full-throttle rock. Vocalist Rich Scramaglia defines the band with his great pop pipes that are also well represented on his Sunless Day side project. Like Sunless Day, Carlos has found an appropriate home with Spiral Stairs' Amazing Grease label, which is quickly becoming home to some of the best pop music on the left coast.
