Dude, strap on those headphones! This DC trio makes disjointed pop music with a lo-fi Fridmann touch. The production is the most captivating aspect of the album, though that's not to say that these boys aren't fine singers and, well, the arrangements are better than the actual songwriting. The trio lives in three different suburbs of Washington, DC, and their acoustic-tinged pseudo-psychedelic work sounds a bit pieced together, but whoever does the stitching should be commended. Elephant 6 fans should take note.
