Toronto hardcore punk legends Career Suicide have been tearing it up with their new lineup, which happens to include the Sadies' Dallas Good. If you haven't caught them live, you'll get your first chance to taste their new sound with a new single.
As could be expected, "Cut and Run" is another speedy, straight-ahead hardcore anthem built on frantic drumming (from Fucked Up's Jonah Falco, who splits duties between drums and lead guitar) and relentless riffing. Though it's a fast blast of punk, it's not entirely free of frills — 35 seconds in you'll enjoy the first of two wailing guitar solos.
It's a fantastic sounding track, and a rare welcome evolution for a band who didn't need to evolve. "Cut and Run" will appear on Career Suicide's forthcoming new LP, and can be streamed below.
