Capture The Flag

Time and Again

BY Stuart GreenPublished Oct 1, 1999

Take three kids from Detroit and lock them in a room with nothing more than a record player, a milk crate full of SoCal pop punk and their pubescent fantasies, and you'd get Capture the Flag. Although they've obviously been raised on a steady diet of Dr. Dream and Fat Wreck bands, the youthful trio manages to pillage and borrow the best elements of bands like Face to Face, Lagwagon and Propagandhi and combine them with some surprisingly mature lyrics. Sure, they sound like dozens of other bands, but Capture the Flag do what they do better than most of them.
