Vinyl Release of Japandroids' New Album Delayed in Canada over Printing Error

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Jan 31, 2017

Japandroids released Near to the Wild Heart of Life last week, but fans in the band's home and native land of Canada are gonna have to wait a little bit longer to get their hands on vinyl copies.

A printing error in the LP's accompanying booklet has caused the two-piece to delay the Canadian vinyl release until February 17.

In a message posted to Facebook, drummer Dave Prowse apologized for the defect and the ensuing delay, and assured fans who already purchased the record that they would be receiving a corrected version soon.

The full message reads:

Hey everyone. Brian and I are very disappointed about this but rest assured we are doing everything we can to fix things as quickly as possible. We put a lot of time and effort into the artwork and packaging for this record so we want to make sure that everyone gets the record the way it was meant to be. And we've made sure that everyone who pre-ordered the album in Canada will get the corrected booklet in the mail as well. Thanks for your patience... - Dave
