Razor have returned with details of their first studio album in 25 years. The Guelph-bred thrash metal outfit will deliver ninth studio LP Cycle of Contempt on September 23 via Relapse.

Marking Razor's first album since 1997's DecibelsCycle of Contempt features songs titled "Jabroni," "King Shit," "All Fist Fighting" and "Off My Meds" among its 11 tracks.

"I tried to write songs that everybody could listen to and say, 'Yeah, I know a guy who's done that to me or done this, or I know that situation. I can relate to that,'" founding guitarist Dave Carlo shared of the new album [via Blabbermouth]. "And I didn't want to make everything specifically about me because when you do that, you exclude people. I wanted to include everyone that's ever felt pissed off about anything."

The Cycle of Contempt begins today with "Flames of Hatred," which you can bang your head to below alongside a lyric video.

Razor are counted among Canada's "big four" of thrash metal alongside Sacrifice, Voivod and Annihilator. Guitarist Carlo — the only constant member across Razor's 38 years — lines up alongside vocalist Bob Reid, bassist Mike Campagnolo and drummer Rider Johnson on Cycle of Contempt.
