This late '70s stoner throwback that bridges the gap between goofy-sounding guilty pleasures - think of the missing link between Rush and the Cars with that guy from Wall of Voodoo singing - is catchy in ways I wouldn't admit to my alterna-snob campus radio buddies. But nonetheless, if I locked the door and slipped on the headphones with Buzzd playing, I'd be knocking over shit while bouncing around the room playing air guitar and keyboards. However, pseudo-ballads like the Hootie-sounding "Princess and the Creep" and the White Lion sounds of the closing track "The Troublehorn" tend to take the wind out of the guilty pleasure craft's sails.
