Burial Announces New 12-Inch

BY Alex HudsonPublished Dec 3, 2012

Earlier this year, Burial's Kindred EP brought together three substantial tracks that clocked in at over half and hour's worth of new music. Now, the British beatmaker also known as William Bevan is preparing to release a new 12-inch with a pair of songs that are similarly lengthy.

"One"/"Two" is due out in the UK on December 17 through Hyperdub. Although it only contains two tracks, the whole thing clocks in at a generous 25 and a half minutes. A-side "One" is close to 12 minutes, while B-side "Two" is just shy of 14 minutes.

The songs will be available on 180-gram vinyl or CD. That's the ultra-simple cover artwork above. There's no word on plans regarding a North American or digital release. Pre-order a copy right here from Boomkat.

This continues in Burial's trend of releasing EPs and singles in lieu of official albums. His last full-length, Untrue, came out way back in 2007.
