Robert Alan Diaz, better known as Pumpkinhead, has reportedly passed away at the age of 39. While details are scarce, various sources have reported his death, and a great deal of hip-hop figures have paid tribute to him online.
Pumpkinhead broke through with his 1997 single "Dynamic," which he followed with four solo albums. He most recently dropped Know the Ledge in 2011. In addition, he appeared on tracks from Jean Grae and Immortal Technique. He was also a respected battle rapper.
Hip-hop producer Marco Polo confirmed the news on Twitter.
