Britney Spears has been out of the music game for six years now, but it seems like that's finally about to change. Britney has reportedly recorded a new remix of Elton John's enduring 1972 single "Tiny Dancer," marking her first piece of new music since being released from her conservatorship.

The track, which, according to Page Six, is a duet with Elton himself, is apparently set to be released next month. There's been no word from Elton or Britney themselves on the single, though a "music industry insider" told Page Six: "This was Elton's idea, and Britney is a huge fan. They have recorded a remix of 'Tiny Dancer' as a full duet — and it is incredible. Britney was in the studio in Beverly Hills last week with Elton for the super-secret recording session overseen by uber-producer Andrew Watt."

The unnamed source continued, saying that "they've already played it for people at their record label, and everybody is freaking out. It is so good. They are saying this is going to be the song of the summer."

After hearing the news, Britney fans have been circulating a 2015 tweet from the pop star that simply reads "Tiny Dancer #EltonAlways @eltonoffical." Some are speculating that this is proof that the duet has been a project long in the making, though it might just mean Britney's a big "Tiny Dancer" fan.
