Brand New have cancelled a string of upcoming shows in the UK and Ireland, following allegations of sexual misconduct against frontman Jesse Lacey.
In a Facebook post, the band wrote: "Due to the events of the last few days, Brand New will be postponing it's upcoming three shows in the United Kingdom and Ireland."
The cancellations follow touring member Kevin Devine's decision to back out of the shows. In a Facebook post on Saturday (November 11), he said, "I hope that my friend continues to do what he needs to do to get & be better," but nevertheless chose to withdraw from the upcoming tour dates.
Brand New have no other scheduled shows at this time.
As previously reported, a woman named Nicole Elizabeth Garey came forward on Facebook last week, claiming that Lacey solicited nude photographs from her when she was 15 and made her watch him masturbate on Skype.
Lacey has since responded to the allegations, saying he is "absolutely sorry" for the "pain and harm" he has caused people in his past.

I've decided I won't be making the trip to the UK & Ireland this week, neither to play in Brand New nor to do my own set in Dublin.

I'm sorry to anyone who was looking forward to seeing me play. I will make every effort to make it up to you as soon as possible.
