Suckerpunch Training

BY Stuart GreenPublished Nov 1, 2001

This three-track between albums filler disc is an odd collection. It features one new song (the title track), which is a scorching condemnation of police brutality, a curiously faithful recreation of Elton John's "Rocket Man" and an unlisted three-and-half-minute spoken word/performance art piece that rails against American culture and corporate globalisation, which sounds especially ominous in the wake of the flag waving patriotism we've seen in the wake of the Sept. 11 attacks. A short, sweet and typically passionate EP from one of the best political hardcore bands around.
