We're guessing that Toronto/Portland, ME-based indie rockers the Box Tiger are pretty excited about the new season of Twin Peaks, because they've just announced a new single named after the TV show's movie spinoff. The tune is called "Fire Walk with Me."
Produced and engineered by Dean Baltulonis (the Hold Steady, Brand New), the tune doesn't bear many sonic similarities with the Twin Peaks soundtrack, since this fuzzy, mid-tempo pop-rock number doesn't have any lush, romantic synths or quirky jazz excursions. That being said, perhaps listeners will find something very faintly Peaks-ian in the song's wistful mood, if not its sonics.
