Boss Martians

The Set-Up

The Boss Martians drive past diverse landscapes. In some instances, the group steer towards new wave regions and then yank the wheel and heads towards rock’n’roll scenery. At other times, the band veer towards Elvis Costello-inspired pop surroundings. On its wide course, The Set-Up features some finely tuned, melodic songs. While the Boss Martians’ mixture is notable, the band’s variety occasionally undermines a cohesive identity. With a few refinements, the group should be able to find their own signature path.
