Edmonton electro-pop crooner Born Gold (a.k.a. Cecil Frena) is set to follow up his divisive 2012 effort Little Sleepwalker with a new album this fall. As previously reported, the new album is called I Am an Exit and will arrive on October 8 via Hovercraft in Canada and Art Control in the U.S. Now, to coincide with the upcoming release, Frena has booked a massive North American tour.
The batch of tour dates includes festival stops at Pop Montreal and CMJ. Other than that, however, Frena tried to make sure the rest of the trek took place as house shows, keeping with his longstanding DIY ethos. When a house show wasn't possible, he tried to book gigs in unique spaces.
