Booka Shade To Release Ambient Album

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Dec 5, 2008

After a long, busy year of beat-making and party-pumping, Booka Shade are ready to chill these coming holidays, and it appears they want you to do the same. The tech-y German duo have announced they'll be releasing an album of ambient material next week, appropriately titled Cinematic Shades (The Slow Songs), which is due out via their Get Physical imprint.

The 13-track, digital-only iTunes exclusive is due out December 12th and will feature songs mostly culled from their back catalogue, such as the title track from this year's The Sun & The Neon Light, "Moonstruck" and "Hallelujah USA." There's also some new Cinematic Shades edits included, as well as a few entirely unreleased cuts, such as the track "Paper Plane" and a Trentmøller remix of the Booka Shade original "Outskirts."

Here are all the tracks for Booka Shade's 2008 comedown:

1. "Outskirts" (Trentemøller Remix)
2. "Solo City"
3. "Night Falls" (Larry Gold's 'Night Falls Over Philly' String Version)
4. "Outskirts" (Cinematic Shades Edit)
5. "Hallelujah USA"
6. "Moonstruck" (Cinematic Shades Edit)
7. "Paper Plane"
