Black Sea

Essentially Frodus with Fugazi's Joe Lally on bass, this three-song debut EP is an ethereal but radical rock experiment. It's easy to see why the band didn't just call it another Frodus record. Although there are hints of that band's post-punk math-core present, this project trades the atonal gut punch that made Frodus so dangerous and cool and replaces it with Björk-like art-deco soundscapes to create a whole different but no less powerful vibe.
