Black Mountain

"Florian Saucer Attack" (video)

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Mar 3, 2016

Black Mountain have hit us with another brilliantly bizarre video supporting their long-awaited IV. Following the Plato's Cave-pondering weirdness of "Mothers of the Sun," they've now grafted a series of animated alien scenes to the record's fully-stomped "Florian Saucer Attack."

While the earlier preview featured an extended intro of mesmerizing keyboard work before fully embracing the rock, "Florian Saucer Attack" quickly breaks out into a flurry of bashed beats, hot-wired riffs and back-and-forth vocals from Amber Webber and Stephen McBean.

As for the video, directed and animated by Chad VanGaalen, it seems to present a procreation ritual between an insectoid shaman and his home world's ultra passionate plant life.

Without spoiling the rest of the story, you can catch the techno-organic pleasure fest down below, courtesy of Adult Swim.

As for IV, the record arrives April 1 in Canada via Dine Alone, and in the rest of the world through Jagjaguwar.
