Black Flag Announce North American Summer Tour, Play Vancouver

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Mar 25, 2013

Bafflingly, two separate lineups of hardcore trailblazers Black Flag are heading out on tour this year. While we previously learned that FLAG — the one with vocalist Keith Morris, bassist Chuck Dukowski and drummer Bill Stevenson — will hit up Canada with appearances at NXNE and Quebec's Amnesia Rockfest, it's now been revealed that the more familiarly named Black Flag, led by founder/guitarist Greg Ginn and Jealous Again vocalist Ron Reyes (aka Chavo Pederast), have a long string of North American dates on the horizon, including an up-north appearance in Vancouver.

Black Flag recently revealed even more dates to their global run, which starts off with some European dates in May. On top of a whack of U.S. appearances in June and July, the outfit have slotted in a July 20 appearance up in Vancouver.

Venue specifics for the BC gig have yet to be announced, though the booking makes sense considering Reyes has lived in Vancouver for years and currently plays in local act Piggy.

UPDATE: Black Flag will play Vancouver's Chinese Cultural Centre and the show will be all ages.

You can check out the tour schedule below.

As previously reported, Black Flag apparently have a new LP on the way as well, with the outfit noting they're "putting finishing touches" on their first full-length since 1985's In My Head. The tracklisting, album title and release date have yet to be revealed.
