Black Country, New Road are certainly up to something. The UK post-punks posted an ominous video to their socials yesterday (February 14), saying something is "coming soon" on February 20 — this coming Monday.
The video showcases balloons floating in a concert venue, with a live recording of a piano playing in the background. While this doesn't give us much to go off, whatever it is will be the group's first effort since bandleader Issac Brock left the project last year — just days before the release of their sophomore album Ants from Up There.
Fans online are joking that this video must mean that BCNR are going to release the album of the year for the third time in a row, following both their 2021 debut For the first time and Ants from Up There — the latter of which was one of our favourite albums of 2022.
