Black Breath drummer Jamie Byrum is currently in a Seattle hospital after being hit by a car earlier in the week.
According to a post made on the metal band's Facebook page, Byrum was struck by a vehicle on Tuesday (January 7) and spent the night in the hospital to undergo surgery on the "multiple breaks" in one of his legs.
The details on the accident have yet to be revealed, with members of Black Breath themselves adding, "We don't know too much else at the moment, but we will post more info as it comes."
Presumably, the injury will sideline Byrum for a while as the band prep their follow-up to 2011's Exclaim!-approved Sentenced to Life. Last month, the act had reported over Facebook that they are "hard at work writing new tunes" and plan to record their third album in 2014.
