Arty R&B songwriter Alex Fleming continues to press ahead with his project Black Atlass, and as the Montreal resident assembles a new release, he has shared a song called "Cold Paradise."
This is a generous offering indeed, as the track spans more than 10 minutes. The first minute consists of quiet ambience and wordless vocal runs, and the arrangement builds from there. There is a crawling beat, cloud-scraping guitar leads, a slightly more groove-laced middle passage, a steamy comedown, and a softly swirling outro. It was entirely performed by Fleming.
Black Atlass has something new in the works, but there's no word as to exactly what else he has planned.
