Published Jan 10, 2011Last week, we pointed to Björk's three-day karaoke fest protesting Canadian company Magma's takeover of Icelandic geothermic power reserve HS Orka. At the time, we were treated to a jaunty little number that the songstress sung with a happy old man. Another clip from the marathon at the Nordic House finds Björk taking on a much more sombre number.
That being said, Björk bopped around while tackling Joy Division's classic "Love Will Tear Us Apart," the icy synths doing little to cool the singer's glee. A little creative licence had her escaping Ian Curtis's minimalist musings via some soaring vocal runs and cutesy moans, but the singer passionately stayed true to the original.
