Betty Blowtorch

Betty Blowtorch combines the femme fury of like-minded bands L7, (early) Hole and Cycle Sluts From Hell with a hot-rodding metal slant. With band member names like Bianca Butthole and Sharon Needles, you know you're going to be in for some raunchy action on this CD. Songs like "Hell On Wheels," with its lyrics about cruising the U.S. on tour and looking for some hot one night stand action only backs this promise up. These Butt Trumpet alumnae can blast it out as hard and heavy as anybody out there, but the lyrics do get really predictable and silly as songs "Shut Up and Fuck" and "Rock and Roll 69" show. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Vanilla Ice's vocal guest spot on "Size Queen," where he goes on about "...his long white dick, almost ten inches tall."
