Ben Hardy, freelance photographer and one third of The Connecticut Plan (up and coming Montreal indie/emo/soul/rock project).

What are you up to?
We are currently writing and polishing songs for the Connecticut Plan's debut album, and sometimes working on my BA in Political Science at McGill.

San Francisco, Montreal.

Current fixations:
The Weakerthans, Aretha Franklin.

Mind altering work of art:
Sunny Day Real Estate-Diary, Jawbreaker-Dear You, Miles Davis-Kind of Blue.

Most memorable/inspirational gig and why?
Superchunk, Halloween 99 @ Cabaret, Mtl.
They came out in costume and opened with Bowie's Scary Monsters. A well oiled rock machine that keeps me from loosing faith in indie rock and the power of loud guitars.

What should everyone shut up about?
Dancer in the Dark.

Your greatest strength and weakness:
Versatility, sloth.

Your vital daily ritual:
Waking up to the CBC.

Guilty pleasure:
Poutine.

Don't let school get in the way of your education.

Apathy, yes.

Yes, i have lots of music.

Jean Leloup came into my friend's store and bought a very ugly plaid shirt.

What does your mom wish you were doing instead?
Going to law school.
