After reuniting last year, Ben Folds Five are back with a brand new track titled "Do It Anyway." We recently reported that the band had delayed their upcoming record from a spring release to an anticipated arrival in September, but the new tune will hold fans over for a little bit.
A thundering piano-charged number, "Do It Anyway" bodes well for the forthcoming record, which has yet to be given a name.
Currently unsigned, Folds offered a statement about the future release, which reads: "I want to avoid ass kissing. It's not healthy. I think we're going to pass on radio promo and on most advance press. No sending it out for reviews etc. We'll just let you know through Twitter and Facebook that it's coming out. That's the idea, and we'll see how that goes."
Well, he posted the new song to Facebook over the weekend, and you can listen to the unmastered version of "Do It Anyway" in the player below, courtesy of Consequence of Sound.
