New York playwrite Israel Horovitz is the latest man to be accused of sexual misconduct in a New York Times exposé. The piece includes the testimonies of nine woman, who have accused him of everything from groping to rape. His son, Beastie Boys member Adam Horovitz, has responded to the claims.

Adam did not mince words in a statement released to the Times, simply saying, "I believe the allegations against my father are true, and I stand behind the women that made them."

Among the women who accused Israel of misconduct was Jocelyn Meinhardt, a high school girlfriend of Adam's. She told the Times that Israel raped her when she was 19.

Israel also released a statement, saying that while he had "a different memory of some of these events, I apologize with all my heart to any woman who has ever felt compromised by my actions, and to my family and friends who have put their trust in me. To hear that I have caused pain is profoundly upsetting, as is the idea that I might have crossed a line with anyone who considered me a mentor."
