Folksy Toronto combo Beams have an album called Ego Death out March 26, and with touring off the table for the time being, they're throwing their own kind of release show. It's a full-album performance filmed inside various Toronto venues — and you can preview the spectacle in the newly released trailer.
The film, which will stream on Bandcamp Live on March 26 at 8 p.m. ET, functions as a tribute to Toronto venues and art spaces. According to an announcement, "Part love letter to Toronto and part documentary concert filmed during a global pandemic, Ego Death is a celebration of resiliency in uncertain times." For safety, the audio was engineered remotely.
Filming locations include the Horseshoe Tavern, the Dakota Tavern, the Boat, Union Sound Company, Matt Durant Studio and more. It was directed by Samuel Scott. Watch the trailer below.
The film is presented by Wavelength. Tickets cost $10 and are available from Beams' Bandcamp page.
