Toronto folk-rockers Beams are leaning into the rock side of things with their new single "Sweet Tea." The lead single for their forthcoming album 'Til the Morning Comes, "Sweet Tea" features some fuzzed-out guitar in addition to their typical, banjo-laden proceedings. To celebrate the new track's arrival, the band have dropped a new video.
The video features footage filmed in Oklahoma, where Beams frontwoman Anna Mērnieks' mother grew up and recently returned to. The choice in footage reflects Mērnieks' wistful lyrics, while clips of ominous winds and cloudy skies reflect the heavy guitar tone that permeates the track.
'Til the Morning Comes will mark the follow-up to Beams' 2018 album, Teach Me to Love.
Beams are embarking on a short West Coast tour. The dates are below, and keep scrolling for the "Sweet Tea" video and Spotify player.
