Luv Punks

BY Rob FerrazPublished Sep 1, 1999

Don’t let the title fool you because, with the exception of a few songs, this New York trio aren’t the most punk-sounding band on the block. They play more of an American version of Britpop meets anything from Hole to the Pixies, with a touch of Breeders. Cute sounding dual female vocals should give them a big boost. Their cover of Billy Idol’s “White Wedding” leaves something to be desired on this otherwise solid release, which has about ten minutes of hidden material tacked on at the end of the CD.
