Baroness have their sights set on their fifth studio album Gold & Grey, and once again, they are breaking off a piece by giving us a new teaser track. This time, it's for album cut "Throw Me an Anchor."
The new track comes in the wake of the songs "Borderlines" and "Seasons." And as you'd expect from those previous offerings, "Throw Me an Anchor" is a complex piece of work, with Baroness flexing some serious sonic muscle.
Listen to "Throw Me an Anchor" for yourself below.
Gold & Grey arrives June 14 through the band's own label Abraxan Hymns. The album follows the band's 2015 effort Purple and was produced by Dave Fridmann.
In support of the album, Baroness have a pile of tour dates coming up, including a newly announced European trek. You can see their entire live schedule here.
Baroness recently conducted an interview with Exclaim!, shedding light on the upcoming new album. You can read that piece over here.
