Vampire Weekend bassist Chris Baio has already released a string of tracks from The Names, his forthcoming debut full-length as Baio. The latest of these is the title cut.
Unlike much of Baio's solo work, this song bears some distinct sonic similarities to the musician's more famous musical project, since the brightly tropical guitar licks sound like they could have been lifted from a Vampire Weekend song. Beyond that, the tune is '80s-style electro-pop number with New Order-esque vocals.
The Names will land on September 18 through Glassnote.
