AstroGroove

Aptly titled, AstroGroove is the collaboration from a triumvirate of three eclectic Toronto-based musicians - Richard Underhill (ex-Shuffle Demons), Jono Grant and Great Bob Scott. Together they amalgamate a multi-tiered experiment that combines a meteor shower of analogous instruments, breakneck rave-style beats, electronic gadgetry, bleeps, blips, incalculable time signatures and creamy passages of trance. Their jazz-groove fabric avoids the easy-to-succumb-to "dark" elements that in turn makes this a more sterile, universal, unique accessible work. For this disc, the boundaries of technology are pushed to the extreme and the listener is shown lush galaxies through a telescope called AstroGroove.
