About a year ago, singer-songwriter Arlo Parks cancelled a portion of a US tour behind her Mercury Prize-winning debut album with a very raw statement about the way her mental health had deteriorated while on the road. In the past year, she has released her sophomore record My Soft Machine, as well as her first poetry collection — and has now announced that she'll be getting back on the North American road next year with planned stops in three Canadian cities.
Kicking things off on February 29 in San Diego, Parks will make her return to Canada on March 7 to play Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom. After nine subsequent stateside shows, the artist comes eastward to perform at Toronto's Danforth Music Hall on March 25 and Montreal's Beanfield Theatre on March 26 before wrapping up the run in Brooklyn on April 2.
