Arcade Fire's Will Butler Shares New Solo Track for the Fourth of July

It riffs on both Roy Orbison's "You Got It" and American history

Arcade Fire are in full Everything Now promo mode, but full-time member Will Butler has still managed to record and share a new solo track.

Dubbed "Anything You Want / 4 July 17," the musician unveiled the track late on the Fourth of July, and appropriately enough, it delves into Butler's own perception of American history (one in which George Washinton is a "dick" and God is a "douchebag") and his own family's backstory.

Listeners with a keen ear will notice that the piano-driven track heavily riffs on Roy Orbison's "You Got It." Listen to "Anything You Want / 4 July 17" below.

Butler released his debut solo LP Policy in 2015, and followed it up with a live album called Friday Night last summer.
