Aphex Twin Teases 'Cheetah' EP

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jun 7, 2016

The last couple of years have been fruitful for iconic beatmaker Aphex Twin, who released his Syro LP in 2014, the Computer Controlled Acoustic Instruments pt2 EP in 2015, and a heap of assorted SoundCloud oddments. Now, it seems that the streak of new material will continue with an EP called Cheetah.

The impending release has been teased by a rather peculiar flyer that a few record stores seem to have gotten in the mail from Warp Records. The flyer includes the album cover (seen above) and a tongue-in-cheek product description promising the user "many years of enjoyment."

The flyer reads a bit like a description of a new synthesizer, as it encourages users to submit patches and tones to Warp. Read the full blurb in photograph below.

Beyond that, it's unclear what exactly the Cheetah EP will contain and when it will be out. Stay tuned for updates.
