Aphex Twin and µ-Ziq Treat 'Expert Knob Twiddlers' to Expanded Reissue

BY Calum SlingerlandPublished Jul 19, 2016

Aphex Twin (a.k.a. Richard D. James) and µ-Ziq (a.k.a. Mike Paradinas) came together in 1996 to release Expert Knob Twiddlers, a collaborative album under the handle Mike & Rich. Twenty years removed from its initial release, the record is set to be reissued this fall.

Initially released through Aphex Twin's Rephlex label, the reissue will be arriving through Paradinas' own Planet Mu. According to a press release, the record has been"carefully cleaned up, re-edited and remastered from the original DAT tape [and] put into a more fitting order." This includes seven additional previously unreleased tracks.

You can find the complete tracklisting and one of the unreleased cuts, "Vodka (Mix2)," below.

Pre-orders for the reissue can be found here, with a shipping date being listed as September 2. Apart from the digital editions, the record can also be had as a two-CD set, cassette tape and a three-LP vinyl package.

Aphex Twin's most recent release was this year's Cheetah EP, while µ-Ziq released RY30 Trax back in May.
