Only a year after Antony and the Johnsons released their third album overall and first in four years, the tender balladeers have announced plans to release a new LP and accompanying book later this year.

Swanlights, whose album artwork is above, will see release October 5 in North America on LP, CD and digitally courtesy of Secretly Canadian and a day earlier in the UK via Rough Trade. Also, a 136-page visual art collection of Swanlights will be released via publisher Abrams on October 1 and will include "visual art, thought-provoking dreamscapes composed of paintings, drawings, photography, collage, song lyrics, and writings" from Antony Hegarty.

According to Secretly Canadian, "The Swanlights book and album will allow readers to see the how Antony's chosen media informs and complements one another. The Swanlights art book includes fragmentary images, drawings, paintings, photography, collage, writings and song lyrics. Each gorgeously produced hardbound book will also include the Secretly Canadian full-length CD release of Swanlights."

That's all the information available about the book/album at this time, but already you can pre-order the book version here
