Angelic Upstarts

The Angelic Upstarts were one of the best early "oi” punk bands from the UK. Despite their melodic yet tough sound, meaningful lyrics and powerful message, they remain one of punk’s most under appreciated bands. TKO is giving them their due with this new set of old classics. Recorded live at San Francisco’s Justice League last January, these 16 tracks show that although they aren’t kids anymore, they still have the energy to move a crowd. Among the songs here are favourites like "Two Million Voices,” "I’m An Upstart,” "Teenage Warning” and covers of "White Riot” and "If The Kids Are United.” New school street punks who aren’t familiar with the Upstarts should give this a listen.
