Take the guttural chug of Tool and textured epic emo rock of Sunny Day Real Estate and you start to get of idea of where ATDP are coming from on their sophomore disc. The Baltimore quartet seamlessly moves from brooding and beautiful to destructive and driving on tracks like "Small Like Mountains" and "Sparkler" while showing their ability to rock out indie style on the title track and "Empire State. Vocalist Paul Ort's lyrics, which thematically complement the music, flesh out the songs nicely.
