Who are you?
Just an ex-post punker gone to seed.

What are you up to?
Playing out the string.

Hometown and current HQ:
Toronto, both ways.

Current fixations:
Eliminating my cassette collection one CD-R at a time.

Mind altering work of art:
Bill Viola's video art installations, anything by General Idea, Cindy Sherman.

Most memorable/inspirational gig and why?
Roxy Music at Massey Hall, April 1979 (I'm dating myself)- because I thought I would never see them.

What should everyone shut up about?
The goddamn internet.

Your greatest strength and weakness:
Strength - my right thumb.
Weakness - Smartfood.

Your vital daily ritual:
Several hours of complete silence.

Guilty pleasure: 'Charmed'.

If I wasn't playing music I would be: Making soup.

Your most memorable day job:
Executive assistant for a pampered, foul-tempered, egocentric millionaire (I didn't say it was a good memory).

Best/worst advice received:
Best- Mix wasabi in soy sauce.
Worst - Go west young man.

I would drop everything to play a benefit for: The Human Fund.

What makes you want to take it off and get it on?
My current physique makes me want to put it on and put it off.

What personal trait would make you kick someone out of your band? And have you?
The inability to spell 'noise'. It wasn't so much kicking them out as not giving them directions to a rehearsal.

When I think of Canada I think:
That if we don't start paying attention we are going to end up as Americans.

Music and sex: Is there a difference? Why?
Is this one of those trick questions that Human Resource professionals come up with?

Strangest brush with celebrity:
One degree of Julie Belmas. I can say no more.

What does your mom wish you were doing instead? If she were still with us, probably making grandkids.
