Actual Water Announce Debut Album for Unfamiliar Records

BY Josiah HughesPublished Dec 6, 2011

Earlier this year, Toronto indie rock experimenters Actual Water released a limited lathe as part of Young Governor's series on Scotch Tapes. Rather than make us wait for another release that will sell out in minutes, however, the group have revealed the details of a new album.

The record is called The Paisley Orchard and is their first full-length since releasing Double Negatives way back in 2008. According to a press release, "The album was inspired by different types of pop music they were exposed to during their adolescence, and is an attempt to transform and replicate some of those familiar sounds."

The Paisley Orchard will be released on January 24 via Unfamiliar Records. The album will be celebrated with a CD release show at Toronto's Double Double Land on January 27.

A music video for the track "La Violence sur Les Champs-Élysées" can be seen below, and that's the album cover above.
