The Madness Of The Crowds

BY Rob FerrazPublished Jan 1, 2006

Looking at the cover of this, which features the four band members looking somewhat nerdy and standing against a white background, you'd think they were trying to be Weezer Jr. And although there is a definite influence here, they have a bit more going on than just that, as they also borrow from the likes of Jimmy Eat World and other pop/emo luminaries. This is the second album from this Ohio outfit and it has its good points. The songs are relatively catchy, especially "Out To Sea" and "Estella," though not the kind of thing that really stands out and keeps playing in your head. And if they're planning to cash in on the emo thing, they need to inject some more emotion into their music.
